Marsh Island Development Company is an affiliate of the Clifford Companies, a diversified real estate development, management and advisory firm with offices in New York, California, and Florida. Founded by Stephen Mann in the mid 1980's, the Clifford Companies is a premier land developer and builder of luxury residences in Connecticut and Eastern Long Island and the largest developer and owner of flex office space in Orange County, California. Clifford has also owned numerous multi-family properties throughout the Southern United States, and a number of commercial properties in the greater Washington D.C. and Virginia markets.

To assure the architectural integrity of Marsh Island Club, the Mann family engaged the renowned New York firm of Ferguson & Shamamian to serve as Town Architect. Mark Ferguson is personally supervising this assignment, a role his firm has performed for other distinctive communities such as the Ford Plantation in Savannah, Georgia. Dedicated to traditional design and deeply respectful of regional characteristics, Ferguson & Shamamian has won a number of awards, including the Young Architects Award in 1990 and 1993, the Residential Architect Design Competition Merit Award in 2000 and 2001, and The Institute of Classical Architecture & Classical America 2003 Arthur Ross Award for Architecture.

The masterful hand of Mario Nievera crafted the incomparable landscaping of Marsh Island Club. Mario Nievera Design Incorporated, with offices in Palm Beach and New York City, is recognized as one of the region's premiere landscape architects.

James Andrew
Interior Design, Inc

The Mann family had their own Interior Designer, New York based decorator James Andrew, create the Interiors of The Marsh Island Club House and sales office.

Andrew began his career working for Polo Ralph Lauren, then later joining the venerable firm of Parish-Hadley Inc.

He has decorated homes from Bali to St. Moritz, London to Palm Beach, creating beautiful backdrops for people to enjoy.

His work has been published in Elle Decor magazine and has been featured in The New York TImes.

Kimley-Horn and Associates, consulting engineers for Marsh Island Club, were responsible for permitting, land planning and marina design. Working closely with the relevant government agencies, their dedicated professionals developed plans that will forever preserve Marsh Island's pristine environment and its critical importance as a haven for river wildlife and flora.

Marsh Island Club turned to BK Marine Construction to build the Club's, state-of-the-art marina. For nearly 25 years, BK Marine has built major facilities for private residences, neighborhood developments, commercial uses and government projects. Responsible for facilities such as Ocean Pearl Marina in Broward County and Boca Raton Resort & Club in Palm Beach County, BK is justly recognized as the Southeast's leader in high quality marina construction.
